GROUND ZERO

In this series of images i really wanted to represent the feeling and mood of the people in this area. A few years after the big tragedy, you can still perceive the sadness and respect for those who died in there.
But at the same time the consumerism culture that exist in America has converted this site in a touristic and commerce center. they have taken advantage of the vulnerability of the people because of what happened and they sell of kinds of things, from a flag, and a little statue to a whole book telling the story about th tragedy, it's unimaginable what is happening in there.
To represent my feeling while visiting the site i decided to desaturate the images but at the same time to emphasis's in the contrast.

I am glad that your thoughts support your images and make them more meaningful. To me pictures should say something, anything and not just be plain beautiful. I am glad you look for meanings and are not just making it up!

I really like the way you arranged the photos. I think it not only adds to the beauty of the photos but also to the meaning of them.
